The Brief

Dogs Trust is the UK’s biggest rehomer of stray and abandoned dogs, and is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.

Our initial brief was to engage with a younger audience and convert them from fans of Dogs Trust social media pages to donors (no matter how small a donation). We were also tasked with creating assets that helped communicate key information on Dog Safety in a sharable way suitable for multiple social channels.

The Solution

To achieve this, we devised a campaign called #EveryDogTheirDay which was built around the idea that Dogs Trust believes that every dog will have its day and find their forever home.

Each day we made a social media post that related to a particular day of the week but with a doggy twist e.g. #waggywednesday or #tongueouttuesday. Most of the media posts contained a call to action asking the user for a small donation via text.

Going Further

The Every Dog was only the beginning.

Following on from that initial activity, we have created a whole suite of engaging content for Dogs Trust, including Doggy Tinder, Puppy Smuggling appeals, Facebook Live World Cup activity and Summer Adventures.

The Dogs Trust Bark-off!

We even created a dog cookery campaign as a tongue in cheek nod to the Great British Bake Off. Needless to say, it went down a treat!
